Cardi B to join Summer Walker SZA on No Love but admits she was scared about collab

Summer Walker and SZA‘s “No Love” collaboration is about to get even bigger thanks to an upcoming “extended” version featuring Cardi B.

Walker let the cat out of the bag on Monday (March 21), revealing the cover art on Instagram while announcing an accompanying music video will debut on Friday (March 25).

“Yall guessed it, my girl @IamcardiB jumped on ‘No Love’ with me & @Sza and we’re going live at 10pmET tonight to celebrate,” she wrote. “I can’t wait for y’all to see the video Friday!”

However, Summer Walker’s excitement initially wasn’t shared by Cardi B, who in their Instagram Live conversation admitted she was daunted by the prospect of jumping on the song.

“When Summer Walker asked me to join it, I was stuck for like a week,” she confessed. “I was like, ‘Shit, I don’t know what the fuck to do?’ ‘Cause this is one of my favorite songs. It’s an amazing song.

“And I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness, I’m scared because this is one of the best songs and everybody love this song.’ I’m like, ‘I don’t want to get on it and for people to not like it.’”

She added, “But I think I did good. You liked it! So I was like, ‘You know what? It’s going!’”

Taking to Twitter on Monday night, Cardi described her “No Love” verse as “stepp[ing] out my element” and said it’ll resonate with fans who are “going through a break up, but you still low key want the dick.”

During the Instagram Live session, Cardi B also promised fans they’re in for a treat with the aforementioned music video, which she described as “horny.”

“And guys, I saw the video; the video is very horny,” she said. “It’s very beautiful, I love it. ‘Cause it was like, ‘Oooh, y’all look good!’ I look so beautiful. You guys are gonna love this video. It’s so beautiful.”

Summer Walker also had plenty of positive things to say about the collaboration as she thanked Cardi B for being such an easy person to work with.

“I also want to tell you thank you for just being humble as fuck and being hella nice and not making shit difficult and not being rude, not being stuck up. You were so down to earth and I appreciate it so much.”

She added, “You just topped it off, and the video topped it, topped it off. I’m just really excited!”

The extended version of “No Love” will be Cardi B and Summer Walker’s second collaboration following last year’s “Bitter,” which Cardi narrated. The Bronx bombshell also previously shared the spotlight with SZA on her Invasion of Privacy album cut “I Do.”

“No Love” originally appeared on Summer Walker’s sophomore album Still Over It, which arrived in November 2021. The project debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after earning 166,000 album-equivalent units in its first week, with “No Love” cracking the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100.
